Prop #56 We are proposing a parameter-change governance proposal to optimise the network’s capacity in preparation for the upcoming v2.x to v3.x upgrade. If approved, this change will: Increase the max_bytes parameter (block size) from approximately 200kb to 3MB. This will allow fitting more transactions in each block, including allowing for larger DID-Linked Resources (DLRs). Note that this only affects the maximum block size, not minimum: the full 3 MB is not used if the block doesn’t have enough contents to max out the block size. Increase the block gas limit from 2M ncheq to 30M ncheq. This adjustment is designed to enhance the chain’s scalability and support more complex transactions, ensuring the network can handle increased activity as we grow.
